Wearable Technology

What's a trade show without booth babes right?
Remember Tracfone?  This booth was a party
all day every day of the show.

The designs often incorporate practical functions and features, but may also have a purely critical or aesthetic agenda. Source: Wikipedia.
I recently attended CTIA Supermobility trade show at Sands Expo last week, Americas’ largest and most influential forum focused specifically on mobile innovation in all its disruptive glory.  The usual suspects such as Samsung, AT&T, Verizon to Ericsson, Tracfone, Otterbox and more exhibited.

Samsung made a statement with a humongous exhibit, boasting at least 10,000sqft of  space right between AT&T
and Verizon. The exhibit was full of audio visual and lots and lots of fun product.  From phones, to watches to headphones and oh so much more.

AT&T also had a large exhibit and created an experiential environment
that showed how immersed they are in our every day life.  From your bedroom,
to your bathroom, entertainment, work out, office, school and in your car.
The best part about their booth was the virtual car that gives you different scenarios
of how you can get killed if you text while you're driving.  Nice.
The question is, when can we UNPLUG???

Well, Verizon sure can't be beaten.  They featured the Electric
Car powered by Verizon and still claim to have the best coverage
in the country. Believe that?

Keynote speakers included the likes of Wikipedia Founder, Jimmy Wales, AT&T Mobility President & Founder, Glenn Lurie and Under Armour's Chief Digital Officer, Robin Thurston to name a few.
The best part about the show was the "Wearables" section.  It's obvious that Smart clothing is where it's at!  Gartner says the internet of things installed base will grow from almost nothing in 2014 to 10 Million shipments this year then projected for 26 Million by 2020 which equals to about $300 Billion in revenue. How crazy is that???
The highlight for me would be meeting Kelley Weaver, CEO & Founder of PURSECASE who was featured on Shark Tank!  I have the utmost respect for fellow Entrepreneurs who have started a brand from scratch and created something out of nothing. I've done it and I know the road is not easy. I wish her all the best and I look forward to meeting her again.

PURSECASE staff at work!
Congratulations to Kelley and her company on the success.

Other interesting things in the Wearables section:

CASECO - Bluetooth Beanie. Speakers easily
come out for ease of wash.
Founder and CASECO staff.

BEELINE - phone case that retracts.  Never
lose your phone again.
Armband phone holder. Great for workouts and anything else.

Fashion cases for every lifestyle, 1 to match every outfit.
Thanks to EMPIRE CASES where "Fashion Meets Technology".

That's all for now.  If you need help with your tradeshow planning, message me!
Cheers,
Li
